Formed in the 90s, BIZARRA LOCOMOTIVA are one of the most striking and unique bands in Portugal's alternative music scene. Famous for their dark aesthetic, incisive lyrics and a visceral sound that combines elements of industrial metal, electronica and heavy rock, the group stood out early on for their ability to create experiences that were as immersive as they were intense, both in the studio and live, earning them an extremely loyal fan base and a cult reputation. Currently, the band's creative core is based on the collaboration between Rui Sidónio and Miguel Fonseca, who takes on guitars and production and is a central figure in defining the band's sound. The band's discography includes emblematic albums such as «Bestiário», which introduced a more melodic approach without sacrificing intensity; «Ódio», a raw and visceral record that helped them solidify their status; and «Mortuário», where they explored themes of death and decay with a poignant emotional charge. The group's most recent album, «Fenótipvs», was released in 2021, and reaffirmed their ability to innovate within their very own style, while maintaining a bold and provocative approach.
