Eagles of Death Metal

The energetic EAGLES OF DEATH METAL promise to enchant the EVILLIVE FESTIVAL with their vibrant and irreverent rock'n'roll

Formed in 1998 in California, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL are a peculiar band on the alternative rock scene. Although the name suggests an association with death metal, the group delivers a vibrant blend of garage rock and blues, often marked by an irreverent and energetic attitude. The band was born out of the partnership between Jesse Hughes, lead singer and guitarist, and Josh Homme, known for his role as leader of Queens Of The Stone Age - and although the latter rarely performs with the group on tours, his influence as drummer and producer has been crucial in the development of the group's distinctive sound. Their debut album, entitled «Peace, Love, Death Metal», from 2004, presented a raw and infectious style of sound. Since then, Hughes and co. have released a string of albums that brilliantly blend catchy riffs and a generous dose of razor-sharp humour. In 2015, the EAGLES OF DEATH METAL faced an unthinkable tragedy during the Paris attacks, which interrupted their concert at the Bataclan. Since then, they have become symbols of resilience, maintaining their passion for music and live performances, always with unwavering energy.
